National African American Catholic Youth Ministry Network

What is NAACYMN?
This association is a member driven organization. All tasks and expectations are going to be inspired, created, developed, worked and completed by the membership. It is an exciting venture for all those who minister to youth. It is an opportunity to hear directly from the membership what happens in youth ministry by networking using the NACYML membership directory, participating in writing articles for the newsletter or helping to design the website.

Mission of NAACYMN
Calling together African American Youth Ministers on a diocesan, regional, and national level, NAACYMN sets as its mission:
  • To implement the youth component of the National Black Catholic Pastoral Plan.
  • To enhance the professional development of African American Catholic youth ministers.
  • To foster a support system for African American Catholic youth ministers and to nurture African American youth.

IAACEC Youth
Youth sessions on relatable issues and concerns will be featured and will run concurrently with the adult sessions. We welcome youth in grades 1st through 12th to attend IAACEC. The Youth Fest will be offered on Saturday evening. Youth are encouraged to bring symbols and t-shirts to trade with youth from other diocese. A Parent Consent Waiver form (found on website) must accompany each youth registration. A minimum of one chaperone per 10 youth is required.

Youth interested in singing in the choir are also invited to attend the worship and liturgy rehearsals. Dates and times will be announced at the conference.

IAACEC Young Adult
A team of Young Adults have planned exciting sessions and social activities with young adults in mind. This is a great opportunity for young adults to network and share their experiences, successes, and challenges. Friday evening there will be a special reception for young adults.
The IAACEC invites your participation in the seventh African American Catholic Evangelization Conference. This conference offers you new ideas, relationships and fosters collaboration and networking.
